‘How to style’ - creating a spa-like bathroom

What is more luxurious than indulging in the comforts of a spa? Here are 5 ways you can create your own spa-like bathroom in your own home:

1. space

Carefully plan the layout of your bathroom to create a feeling of open space. Choose a light and clean colour palate which will open up a room, pairing this with warm and simple tones will create a zen like atmosphere.

2. materials

Marble is my favourite material, using it with abundance and pairing it with elegant brass and metals creates a super opulent feel. Invest in beautiful and good quality hardware, think of them as statement jewellery within your space. I like to use Lusso Stone or Burlington.

3. go big

If you’ve got the space, always create the biggest wet room space possible. Don’t forget the extra large bath tub, and the biggest luxury of all – a double sink.

4. lighting

To create the perfect spa-like ambiance, always use dimmable bathroom lighting . We like J Adams & Co’s Flume accent wall lights as they are the perfect addition to any luxury spa-like bathroom. Remember to always to have bright lighting around your mirrors for those close up bathroom selfies.

5. create the right ambience

Lastly, it’s all about those all-important finishing touches – good quality soaps and a gorgeous candle to tease the senses, some calming greens and some warm soft fluffy towels and slippers.

And now it’s time to run the bath.
