‘How to style’ - Using this season's hottest colour, Pink
Thanks to Barbie, and Pantone’s colour of the year Pink is everywhere – fashion, design and beyond. However, pink need not be sickly sweet and can be used in clever ways to create interiors that last longer than 2023. Here are 3 ways to incorporate it into your design:
1. Tone on Tone
Remember there are many tones of pink. Why not experiment with the many tones across the palate to add a grown-up edge or neutral more sophisticated look.
2. Go grown up with pattern
Drench your space with a pattern. Avoid anything too twee or ‘girlie’ - even in a little girl's bedroom. We love ‘Money Tree in Valentine by Poodle and Blonde. Layer wallpaper, curtains and fabrics in the same print.
3, Balance with textures
Use as much pink as you like, but it’s important to mix textures and materials. Combine the pink with sophisticated accents like gold, brass or marble.
